Libraries via /r/gratitude

I love libraries so much. I am thankful for the tax dollars and donations that fund them and for the people who work in them. I am thankful that as a society we have all kind of agreed to make libraries safe spaces and, for the most part, people don’t steal things from it.

I feel like I have done a library gratitude before lol. But today I went to one in a different town and in the women’s bathroom they had a bunch of free pads and tampons for whoever needed them. It’s amazing that if someone needed a warm place to spend the day along with access to bathrooms and clean drinking water they can go to the library. And also use computers/internet and read whatever they want.

I love how quiet and peaceful libraries are. I love how everyone there is working on different things. And I love that all the libraries I’ve ever been to have had a children’s section with crafts and toys.

I am thankful that my own kids are always excited to go to the library.
