Im grateful for Reddit via /r/gratitude

This is gonna make me sound like a bot but it’s from the heart. I haven’t been on other social media for a few years and actually came here because I needed to talk about something I wasn’t ready to share with others. Since then it’s been a really nice addition to my life in that I’ve made friends but mostly I get my daily dose of faith in humanity. I’ve only ever heard garbage about Reddit, about how it would sour my opinion of the world, but honestly it’s been the opposite. Every day I see total strangers interact with me anonymously and each other with kindness and humour and it’s all free and most of it feels sincere. I’ve read great advice and touching stories and made connections I wasn’t expecting because I was moved by the kindness of a stranger when nothing is stopping them from being cruel. Sure roastme is fun, but most of what I’ve seen is just love and curiosity and humour and it’s made me smile. Thanks Reddit.
