I’m grateful for my freedom from familial connection and dependance via /r/gratitude

The fact of the matter is, the larger your circle, the more drama and pain you have to deal with, and personally I’d rather avoid all of that. I keep an incredibly small inner circle and am largely free of emotional ties, I don’t even know if I’m capable of them or ever have been at this point, which sometimes concerns me, but for the most part works just fine. I’ve never really had a ✨real✨ friend but I’ve also never felt an overwhelming need or desire for one. It’s exactly as one family member told me many years ago “you don’t have any bonds “ she was right. And even though I know she meant it in a negative sense, I’m thankful for that.
