Grateful I chose to stay in via /r/gratitude

My healing is about stopping thinking that I’m a burden so instead of going to a Christmas gathering that I really didn’t want to go to , I forced myself to stay in an Airbnb . The old me would create scenerios of shame for being all alone on Christmas. The new me went out into the common areas and let myself enjoy my own presence and redirected any negative or shameful thoughts that the owner of the Airbnb may be judging me . I’m so proud 🥲
