Grateful for my Friend who has Passed via /r/gratitude

I’m grateful for my friend who has passed away. She was a good listener and often understood when no one else did. She helped with coursework. I helped her to get out and about more than she may have otherwise. We helped each other through many decisions or served as sounding boards for each other. We discussed school, jobs, friends, foes, family, romantic connections, celebrities, books, news, politics, hopes, dreams, fears, disappointments, health, and everything else else. I’m lucky to have had her in my life for a very long time, even if I’d thought it would have been much longer. I’m grateful to have known her and I am better for it.
