Grateful for my Doctor
Today at a Women's Health appointment my Doctor told me that she is going ahead and recommending a total hysterectomy.
I am soon to be 37 years old and a single mom of two boys. I am grateful that my years long battle for more permanent sterilization is finally coming to a desirable conclusion. I am truly grateful and euphoric of the additional benefits of this procedure (positively impacts the risks and likelihoods of certain reproductive cancers). All we got left to do is a uterine biopsy and then pre op followed by the procedure.
I was in tears of joy in that office. I feel heard and that my autonomy is not being withheld. I am grateful.
