Grateful for good neighbors via /r/gratitude

I have a neighbor who helps out and we (me & my husband) try to help out in return. We generally do not ask for help and there seems to be no expectation of reciprocation. We do try and reciprocate, but it doesn’t feel tense or as if anything is owed or expected. It’s just nice!

This is the second time we’ve had a neighbor like this. We used to have a neighbor in an old apartment we shared for several years who was the same way. We were sad that we were going to be losing her as a neighbor when we were preparing to move from that place. Many years later, we have another neighbor who is the same way!

I’m grateful for them both!
