Good timing and a backup vehicle via /r/gratitude

We took our van out of town to visit family over Christmas and got back home last Friday. We caught a flu bug while out of town so we didn't go anywhere once we were home. On Tuesday we felt better and decided to make our weekly grocery run. We hopped in the van to go and my hubby went to start it and…. Click, click, click….. nothing…. He tried again….. nothing. The battery must have caught the flu too. 🤣 So we hopped in the pickup truck and took it instead. We found a new battery for the van at Wally World and got our groceries and headed home. Yesterday my husband put the new battery in the van and it started right up. He said it was the easiest battery change he's ever done and he's a mechanic so he's done a lot. I'm grateful that the battery in the van lasted while we were out of town visiting family and waited to go caput until we got home. I'm grateful we are fortunate enough to have a spare vehicle that we could use the day the van decided to go caput. I'm grateful that the new battery was easy for my amazing husband to put in and set up since it was so cold and also since he's just getting over the flu. Lots to be grateful for! Loving life!
