Grateful for warm water and heat via /r/gratitude

In the past year, our water heater and AC broke several times, leaving my family without hot water and heat in general for extended periods of time. I have lived an upper middle class life for my entire existence and fortunately have not had to experience not having hot water. This has really made me reflect on how I have been taking these things for granted. Therefore, I am so extremely grateful to be able to sleep comfortably in a warm bedroom and to be able to take hot showers!!! I really do believe that we don’t tend to think about what we have until we don’t have it… gratitude is so powerful!
