Grateful for sunny afternoons in my yard via /r/gratitude

The last few days it’s been sunny and warm and absolutely gorgeous in my backyard. I feel so blessed. I got pretty sucked into looking at social media bc of all the fires in LA, but all my family members are safe and they saved my uncles home by clearing brush, setting sprinklers, etc. The fire got right up to the property but didn’t burn it bc of their actions. Anyways, it all feels so apocalyptic and horrific and I feel so lucky and blessed I can put my phone down and step outside into a beautiful and serene backyard. I’m grateful for the clean air I can breathe. I’m grateful to have a home. I’m grateful for the tiny stream that runs through my backyard and keeps the grass green and all the plants happily watered. I know to never take anything for granted.
