Compliments you wish you could tell people via /r/gratitude

What is something you wish you had the courage to tell somebody in your life, or who has been in your life?

I’ll go first

My orthopedic surgeon.

I wish I could write him a letter to thank him for giving me the gift of having a knee that doesn’t hurt me. A knee that has carried me for years. A knee that does not dislocate on me. A knee that I trust and hope to be able to chase after my children with.

I want to thank him for acknowledging my first knee surgery was botched, and that I didn’t deserve it. I am grateful that he did his homework, his research, so that I could be able to move in the way that I want and deserve to.
