Just completed my 100th day of gratitude
I’ve focused on gratitude for several years, but recently I’ve made it an almost-daily habit to list three things I’m grateful for (in the Calm app).
There’s been a noticeable transformation in how positive and grateful I feel in general.
I haven’t taken things for granted, from hot running water to the cars I drive. But doing these gratitude exercises has completely shifted my mental state to look at everything in a brighter light and be thankful for things in my life.
Even when things are going wrong, I’m still grateful for all the things I have. If I’m sick, I’m not in the hospital. If I were in the hospital, I’m thankful to be alive.
I think it’s easy to adjust to what you have in life and start taking things for granted. I am so grateful for what I have, whether things are going easily or more difficult.
I’m thankful every day for the opportunities I have.
