Grateful to be at work this Christmas 🎄 via /r/gratitude

It's been six months since I've separated from my soulmate because of his addiction. Christmas has always been so important to me, and we always treated each other so well around this time of year.
I've been dreading holidays this year as I'm feeling the grief of loosing my person. That's why I decided to work through the holidays and boy am I grateful for it.

We put together a potluck at work and had a blast celebrating. Laughing, playing games and just being so joyful. Yes, I'm at work, but I also feel so loved and most of all, not alone. I am so grateful for my work peeps and their warmth this evening. People matter, even if it's just for a few hours of happiness. It really makes a difference.
