Grieving via /r/gratitude

I’m not thankful for the loss.

But I’m thankful for today.
I’m thankful for the ability to go to school and the opportunity it is.
I’m thankful for the health I do have.
I’m thankful for my mom’s health.

I’m thankful for chirping birds that remind me of fear (I’m afraid of birds lol) but also of God’s provisions (Matthew 6:33); and the reminder that it can be fearful to wait on God’s provisions at times.

I’m thankful for school.
I know I said that, but I mean it even when I complain.
I’m thankful for the time I have to waste.
I’m thankful for the people who have heard me cry about the loss.
I’m thankful I could cry about it in front of others.
