For today via /r/gratitude

Holidays are always an emotional roller coaster for me and this year has been more difficult for some reason.

Today a dear friend showed up at my door on her way elsewhere “just for a hug and some cookies. Love you lady! I’ll text you when I’m back.”
That was it. Our whole exchange. Maybe 45 seconds at the door on a cold cold morning.

And it changed my mood and my attitude.
THIS is what Christmas is about for me. Family, friendship, love, giving without expecting anything in return.

I’ve seen people talk about the value of minutes and hours and days, etc.
That right there is a priceless moment for me! Counting my blessings for sure today so I wanted to share my refreshed gratitude.
